Offline inbox candidate; separate website release

An offline research-inbox candidate kept captured references separate from operational authority. The public website received a separately verified navigation release.

Evidence scope

The inbox was tested on copied source with synthetic/mock-DOM inputs. The separately deployed website had real public browser verification; neither result establishes a running inbox.

Independent offline inbox validationOnly the independent copied-source run is charted: 42 passed, zero failed. This is not a live-feed result. Passed: 42 passed; Failed: 0 failed; Skipped: 0 skipped. Each cell is one case; grouped by outcome, not execution order.

Follow the evidence

Open a stage to inspect what happened.

  1. 01Treat references as untrustedtested

Bounded local references carried no operational authority, network sender or automatic refresh.

  2. 02Exercise copied-source controlstested

The independent offline run passed the 34 supplied checks and 8 additional controls. No real posts or inference calls were involved.

  3. 03Verify the separate websiterecorded

The deployed mobile header passed 124 real-network checks across 12 cases; its scope remains separate from the research candidate.

  4. 04Hold inbox integrationopen

Authenticated feed capture, attribution and one real post-to-saved-link round trip remained unverified.

Controls & proof2 documented controls
  • reject authority and no mutationRecorded control

PASS: forged authority, hostile URL forms, UTF-8 byte limits, duplicates at capacity and rejection-without-mutation controls.

  • public header native fallbackRecorded control

PASS: actual public keyboard/no-JS/native Back and sticky-header checks.

Lab log — 2026-11-06

Prepared from retained primary receipts by Codex; work date 2026-11-06; prepared 2026-11-07; first published 2026-11-07; independently reviewed source and public-page checks are scoped below; owner editorial review of individual technical claims is not recorded. End-of-day records through 23:32 UTC; prepared retrospectively on November 7.

A saved reference needs a boundary before it enters the rest of the system. The research-inbox candidate kept foreground feed references in bounded local storage, marked them untrusted and unreviewed, and gave them no operational authority. It added no network sender or automatic refresh.

An independent terminal run exercised a copy of the candidate with 42 offline tests: the 34 supplied checks and eight additional controls. These covered authority fields, source identity, UTF-8 limits, duplicates at capacity, rejection without mutation, hostile URLs and strict field structure. All 42 passed. These were synthetic and mock-DOM checks; they captured no real posts and made no inference calls.

The public website had a separate release. Its single mobile header put the logo-home link opposite Explore ABL, preserving the existing desktop layout. The deployed pages passed 124 real-network browser checks across 12 cases, including sticky navigation, keyboard focus, native Back and the no-JavaScript fallback. Those checks describe the website, not the private research inbox.

What did not ship

The research-inbox candidate was not installed, imported into the Hub or exercised on an authenticated live feed. Browser attribution, one real post-to-saved-link round trip and end-to-end acceptance remained open. This work did not start an AI worker shift or change the private runtime.

Next

Verify one real foreground post-to-saved-link round trip through an authorized browser, including lost-focus and failed-storage controls, before proposing an import.

Raw telemetry

  • Offline inbox controls: 42 passed, 0 failed; 34 supplied plus 8 independent checks.
  • Inference calls and real captured posts in that validation: 0.
  • Separate public-header validation: 124 live checks across 12 cases.
