A fast kernel is useful only if the artifact it runs is a working model. This entry records a correction to the earlier 80B work, rather than carrying those figures forward.
The September 5 addendum withdrew the quality-bearing status of the earlier 80B performance results after the first model-quality check found the tested artifact broken.
The retained account distinguishes numerical agreement between implementations from model quality: agreement on the same damaged artifact had passed while the quality boundary had not.
This reconstruction uses the dated addendum alone. The original quality-test outputs were not independently rerun or inspected for this backfill. No old speed ratio is repeated as a valid result, and no later 30B performance claim is substituted for it.
Retrospective evidence audit — 2026-10-27
This is a new retrospective daily entry. Its work date is separate from the October 27 preparation date; no earlier publication is implied. The retained documentary source names this historical date but does not supply a precise event clock or timezone. Exact New York day attribution remains uncertain; the dated account is retained as REPORTED.
What did not ship
- a valid 80B model-quality benchmark or a defensible speed comparison
- an independent rerun of the historical quality experiment
- a replacement throughput, superiority, or model-readiness claim
Next
Before any replacement performance claim, bind the exact model artifact to an independent quality baseline and compare speed only after that quality gate passes.
Raw telemetry
- evidence class: dated documentary correction; REPORTED
- earlier 80B quality-bearing performance claim: withdrawn
- historical quality experiment rerun by this backfill: no
