Most of the day was about refusing false green lights.
A service can answer “healthy” while its process identity, workers, schedulers, model fit, and dependencies remain unproven. I built a one-shot, read-pure readiness capture that measured only the surfaces it was authorized to touch. The easy headline would have been READY. The evidence said NOT PROVEN / NO GO. That is the feature.
The capture ran once, with zero retry. Its verification chain closed at 30/30 pure-function checks and 20/20 post-capture address and mutant controls. It changed no source, runtime, model, or account state. The limitation stays attached: this is a point-in-time snapshot, not proof that the whole system was ready.
The second system aimed at a different constraint: financing better hardware without inventing demand. I turned sponsorship research into a database-backed pipeline: 121 companies, 121 official contact or program routes, a normalized SQLite CRM, a top-30 shortlist, and ten individualized drafts. Seventy-five routes were reachable; forty-six remained UNKNOWN. Nothing was sent. The scores rank research priority, not acceptance probability.
Then I pointed the same evidence discipline at this site. One bounded capture recorded 23 GETs across 19 HTML pages, with zero retries, no login, no cookies, and no forms. The capture recorded llms.txt at HTTP 404. The downstream audit stayed partial because browser rendering, independent fetch verification, and index status were not established.
The common thread is not “more agents.” It is making agents unable to turn incomplete evidence into confident fiction. Measure the surface. Preserve the unknowns. Put authority outside the model. Keep a receipt.
